Bishops Avenue

The Bishops Avenue house was designed for a family with 4 young children. The site is twice as wide as its neighbours and has about 1.5 acres. The house concept was to form a wall separating the traffic and parking from the rear garden adjoining the golf course. When you enter the house, you breach the wall and see dramatically through 20 foot high glass doors over the fairways in the distance.
Connected to the family area of main house is a recreation wing with an indoor/outdoor pool. It is possible to swim under the glass and use the outdoor half of the pool in winter. The formal areas exploit both open plan entertaining areas and enclosed single use areas like study, cigar and media rooms.
