Designed by A.G.Porri at the height of the post Tutan-Khamun fever in 1927, this building was badly renovated in 1960 losing all its Egyptian details. We opened up and redesigned the public circulation and brought cars onto the site in front of a new lobby and entrance canopy.
The hung ceilings and partitions were stripped out of the old factory floors which are now "loft" offices for advertising and travel companies. The project was carried out floor by floor around existing tenants and won a Civic Trust Award in 2000.
